Hello Travelers!

Since our first formal meeting in June, there has been continued discussion regarding Genshin Impact. There's been questions and debate, but even more support and enthusiastic feedback. It is this support and feedback that spurs our dev team on and pushes them to make an every better Genshin Impact for everyone.
 
Firstly, we'd like to thank you, the players, for your continued support of Genshin Impact. It is this support that gives our developers the drive to keep making Genshin Impact a higher quality game for you all. Open world games are no easy feat, but with you by our side, we know we can strive on. For the last few months, we have taken on everyone's hopes for the game and continued to introduce a range of new content, in the interest of making Genshin Impact even better.
 
Below are some of the most recent changes to come to Teyvat. (The following content is still in development, and may not be an accurate representation of final versions):
 
Q1. Can we have animals like cats and dogs in town that we can play with?
 

 
Cute cats and dogs have arrived in Teyvat, just waiting for the arrival of travelers. (They're still a little shy around strangers, so we cannot let you pat them just yet, unfortunately)
 
Q2.

-Can we have NPCs with more diverse appearances?
-I think there should be more variety in NPCs — some young, some old, some fat, some skinny — not just beautiful people. The world of anime/manga can offer more character variety. More variety improves believability and decreases visual staleness.

 

 

A range of new NPCs have come to Mondstadt. Next time you visit, be sure to introduce yourselves to them and learn more about what the residents of Mondstadt are like.
 
Outside of the content above, we are also constantly working on a range of other changes and improvements based on your feedback and opinions.
 
Be this as it may, we are aware that our game is still not yet good enough. We welcome and thank each and every traveler that takes the time to share their thoughts and opinions with us. We always believe that only by listening closely to our players can we make Genshin Impact into an amazing title that everyone will love.

Recently we have had frequent questions regarding just when Genshin Impact's open beta will be held.
 
We'd like to take this opportunity to share our thoughts with you, the players.
 
Currently, Genshin Impact is still in its development phase, whereby things can still be changed very suddenly, and unexpected bugs still occur. So as to avoid giving Travelers the wrong impression about the game's expected final overall quality, we have chosen to use internal and closed beta methods to collate opinions and feedback in order to focus more on how to optimize the game and the overall experience it delivers.
 
So just when will the open beta be held you ask? Once we have appropriately dealt with this phase of testing and feedback, we will be sure to announce the timing of the next open beta to everyone.
 
We really hope we get to meet each and every traveler in Teyvat as soon as possible. However, we also want to ensure that we put forward our absolutely best face to meet everyone. As such, we really hope you can give us a bit more time, so that when we next meet we can bring you an even better Genshin Impact.
