Explanations of Version 2.1 Update Details

Hello, Travelers! Paimon heard that in the new Version 2.1, Travelers will have new islands to explore! Paimon wants to go with you, maybe we'll make new friends along the way~ Seems like there's a lot of new game content to experience. Are you ready? Let's go together!

For this update, the developers also have some elaborations they would like to make. Now, let Paimon show you the explanations from the developers about this new update~

New System - Fishing (Making and Switching of Bait)
After this version update, Travelers will be able to go fishing at fishing spots all over Teyvat after completing the corresponding World Quests and unlocking the system~ In addition, different species of fish will appear in fishing spots at different times in the game!

The fish caught not only can be used to make dishes, but also can be exchanged for precious treasures at the Fishing Association. The Fishing Association in each region has different treasures available for exchange, so Travelers can go to different regions to exchange for treasures according to their needs.

Don't forget to prepare various kinds of bait before fishing! Simply open Inventory > Precious Items and learn the bait recipes to make bait at the Crafting Bench.

Different types of bait can attract different fish. When fishing, Travelers can switch the current bait by clicking the button in the picture.

Clicking the button brings up the screen to select the bait.

Increase in the Level Cap of Sacred Sakura’s Favor
With the release of the new areas Seirai Island and Watatsumi Island, the level cap of Sacred Sakura’s Favor has been raised to Level 30 (originally Level 20 in Version 2.0). While exploring the new islands, Travelers can continue to visit the Grand Narukami Shrine to raise Sacred Sakura's Favor to a higher level.

New Character - "Plane of Euthymia" Raiden Shogun (Electro)

1. Explanation of the attacks by Raiden Shogun in the Musou Isshin state

In Version 2.1, the new event-exclusive 5-star character "Plane of Euthymia" Raiden Shogun (Electro) will be available in the Event Wish. It should be noted that the attacks by Raiden Shogun in the Musou Isshin state is a special kind of attack. It is considered a Normal Attack in terms of its movement type, but the DMG dealt is considered Elemental Burst DMG. In the Musou Isshin state, Raiden Shogun will attack with a sword. These attacks are considered Normal Attacks at this time. Thus, they can trigger the effects associated with Normal Attack movement types, for example: the increase in Normal ATK SPD granted by the weapon Skyward Spine, the consecutive sword rain attacks by Xingqiu's Elemental Burst, or the coordinated attacks by Fischl at Constellation Lv 1, etc. But at the same time, the DMG dealt by the Raiden Shogun's sword while in the Musou Isshin state is considered Elemental Burst DMG. As such, these attacks can trigger effects associated with Elemental Burst DMG or benefit from an increase in Elemental Burst DMG. For example: the Elemental Burst DMG-boosting 4-Piece effect of the Emblem of Severed Fate or the 2-Piece effect of the Noblesse Oblige Artifact Sets will increase the DMG she deals while in this state. On the contrary, the effects caused via DMG dealt by Normal, Charged, or Plunging Attacks are ineffective in this case. The effects that are unable to be triggered include: the increase in Charged Attack DMG provided by the 4-Piece effect of the Bloodstained Chivalry Artifact Set, and the effect that triggers a vacuum blade via Normal and Charged Attack DMG for the weapon Skyward Spine, etc.

2. Explanation of the issue of accruing Resolve with Raiden Shogun

In the current version (Version 2.1), the following issue can occur with Raiden Shogun:
When the character "Plane of Euthymia" Raiden Shogun (Electro) is added to the party, under certain circumstances, when other characters in the party interact with NPCs, Places of Interest, etc., the effect of stacking Resolve for Raiden Shogun will be triggered incorrectly.
This is because the Raiden Shogun's Resolve should actually be accrued when other characters unleash their Elemental Bursts and thus consume Elemental Energy. However, in the current version, Raiden Shogun's Resolve is accrued as soon as other characters unleash their Elemental Bursts. This issue will be thoroughly resolved in Version 2.2. After that, Raiden Shogun's Resolve will be accrued at the right time. The fix will not affect the use of this character.

About Adjustments Made to Some Monsters
In addition, after the Version 2.0 update, we carried out an extensive feedback collection on Travelers' experience of exploring the open world in Inazuma.
Through feedback and the collation of combat data, we have found that the monster Nobushi is too strong an opponent for many. This is due to two factors: ① Due to Nobushi's ability to jump back, characters' attacks were often unable to hit the Nobushi, ② The cue timing for the Nobushi's sword-drawing technique was too short and could lead to an incorrect assessment for Travelers to act. After in-depth analysis and discussion, we made the following adjustments:

1. Removes the Nobushi's skill to jump back.
2. Optimizes the combat experience when dealing with the Nobushi's sword-drawing technique.
3. Reduces the weight of the Nobushi and Kairagi.

At the same time, we have also found that the core of the Pyro Hypostasis is exposed for a shorter time, compared to Hypostases of other elements. This means that Travelers have fewer opportunities to attack, making the fight more difficult. We have therefore made the following adjustments:

1. Increases the time that the Pyro Hypostasis's core is exposed when it launches a Pyro pillar attack.
2. Increases the duration of the Pyro Hypostasis's re-ignition skill, and optimizes the character's lock-on experience of attacking the Fire Seeds during its re-ignition skill. When all the Fire Seeds are extinguished, the Pyro Hypostasis will end its re-ignition skill earlier.

After the adjustment, we extended its core exposure duration without changing its strength, allowing Travelers to have a longer output time to cast various skills and burst effects.
The developers would like to thank all Travelers for your continued support on this journey. We welcome more suggestions and feedback from Travelers as we strive to ensure the optimal gaming experience.
