Regarding a Further Adjustment to Zhongli

Dear Travelers,

We sincerely apologize for keeping you all waiting.
Since we announced the plan for adjustments to Zhongli, testers have provided the developers with a great deal of detailed feedback based on their actual in-game experience. Meanwhile, we have also received many valuable suggestions from Travelers across various social media channels. Once again, we would like to thank everyone for all your invaluable contributions.

We have now collated all Travelers' feedback and observed that the focus is on the following issues:
• Zhongli is a comparatively weak support character, especially in Co-Op scenarios.
• In parties with Geo Resonance effects, the support that Zhongli provides is less pronounced than other available Geo characters, giving him relatively low strategic value, especially considering that he is a 5-star character.
• In Single Player Mode, Zhongli is not very compatible in parties with non-Geo Elemental Resonance effects.

Based on these points, we have made a further adjustment to Zhongli that increases his functionality as a support character while also improving his performance in Geo parties, non-Geo parties, and Co-Op scenarios. The adjustment will be implemented in an update to the Version 1.3 test server on December 29, 2020.

Further Adjustment to Zhongli's Elemental Skill "Dominus Lapidis" (Hold):
When a character is protected by the Jade Shield, opponents within a set radius have all Elemental RES and Physical RES decreased by 20%. Effect cannot be stacked.
Image 1 shows the post-adjustment result, while Image 2 shows the pre-adjustment result.

A more detailed explanation of this adjustment is provided below.
————————
Elemental Skill: Dominus Lapidis (Hold)

Original Effect:
Causes nearby Geo energy to explode, causing the following effects:
• Creates a shield of jade. The shield's DMG Absorption scales based on Zhongli's Max HP and has 250% Geo DMG Absorption.
• Deals AoE Geo DMG.
• If there are nearby targets with the Geo element, it will drain a large amount of the Geo element from a maximum of 2 such targets. This effect does not cause DMG.

Effect After Original Adjustment:
Causes nearby Geo energy to explode, causing the following effects:
• If the maximum number of Stone Steles has not yet been reached, it will create a Stone Stele.
• Creates a shield of jade. The shield's DMG Absorption scales based on Zhongli's Max HP, and has 150% Physical DMG and Elemental DMG Absorption.
• Deals AoE Geo DMG.
• If there are nearby targets with the Geo element, it will drain a large amount of the Geo element from a maximum of 2 such targets. This effect does not cause DMG.

Effect After Further Adjustment:
Causes nearby Geo energy to explode, causing the following effects:
• If the maximum number of Stone Steles has not yet been reached, it will create a Stone Stele.
• Creates a shield of jade. The shield's DMG Absorption scales based on Zhongli's Max HP, and has 150% Physical DMG and Elemental DMG Absorption.
• When a character is protected by the Jade Shield, opponents within a set radius have all Elemental RES and Physical RES decreased by 20%. Effect cannot be stacked.
• Deals AoE Geo DMG.
• If there are nearby targets with the Geo element, it will drain a large amount of the Geo element from a maximum of 2 such targets. This effect does not cause DMG.

During the Version 1.3 beta testing period, we will continue to monitor data on the test server to see how the adjustments are performing and will be carefully listening to Travelers' feedback. Before Version 1.3 officially releases, we will confirm the finalized adjustment plan with everyone once more.
